About the Role:

The Culinary Institute of America is seeking a highly motivated and organized Admissions Counselor to join our team. As an Admissions Counselor, you will be responsible for recruiting prospective students for our three domestic campuses. You will develop and implement a recruitment plan that includes communication outreach, campus events, and personalized contact with prospective students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a recruitment plan to attract prospective students to our campuses.
  • Communicate with prospective students through various channels to guide them through the admissions process.
  • Conduct presentations to groups of students, educators, and influencers to share information about the CIA and build relationships.
  • Participate in various admissions events, including open houses, accepted student days, and online presentations.
  • Give campus tours to prospective students and their families, highlighting key admissions selling points.
  • Form relationships with key CIA alumni, educators, and student supporters to support recruitment efforts.
  • Manage student files through the admissions process, making decisions about student admission and communicating with admitted students to encourage enrollment.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on recruitment status and activities.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Prior experience in leadership and communication-intensive activities preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information professionally and confidently.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office experience required.

Working Conditions:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds of recruitment materials.
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to tour groups of people around campus for physical campus tours.
