Position Summary: The Head of Behavioral Support Services will oversee behavioral support across all Bridgewell day and residential programs and supervise the organization's Behaviorists.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruit, train, and manage Bridgewell's day and residential Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Behavior Specialists, and Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBTs) as necessary.
  2. Educate Bridgewell staff on the implementation of Behavior Support Plans and other behavioral documentation and processes.
  3. Engage in the referral process for both Day and Residential programs.
  4. Attend bi-weekly Sovner Center/START Clinical Services team meetings and Bridgewell's Clinical Risk Team Meetings to provide behavioral insights on client cases.
  5. Contribute as a member of the Universal Team.
  6. Participate in all relevant meetings within Bridgewell and with external agencies.
  7. Foster an environment that encourages regular communication and collaboration between behavioral staff and Day and Residential Managers and Directors.
  8. Communicate with the VP of Behavioral Health and take part in regularly scheduled supervision meetings.
  9. Develop policies and procedures related to the delivery of behavioral support services.
  10. Conduct annual performance evaluations for all direct reports.
  11. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to direct reports to enhance skills and performance while ensuring employee engagement and recognition.
  12. Create a team environment that supports Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging based on Bridgewell's DEIB initiatives.
  13. Act as a Behaviorist as needed, depending on staffing and programmatic requirements for Residential/Day programs. Offer behavioral consultation to staff as necessary.
  14. Supervise interns as required.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. A Master's degree in psychology or a related field is required.
  2. Minimum of five years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  3. At least 2-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience is necessary.
  4. Current Board-Certified Behavior Analysts Certification is required.
  5. A valid driver's license is necessary.

Skills and Knowledge:

  1. Exceptional clinical, supervisory, and leadership abilities.
  2. Familiarity with DDS regulations and CARF standards.
  3. Proven knowledge of crisis and behavior management strategies and techniques.
  4. Strong understanding of human rights issues.
  5. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  6. Demonstrated ability to cultivate positive relationships with funding sources.
  7. Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
