Job Title: House Manager

At First Step Healthcare LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate House Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our clients' homes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of care and support for our clients, while maintaining a safe and healthy living environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the home in accordance with all relevant federal, state, and local guidelines.
  • Monitor the safety and health needs of our clients, providing timely interventions as necessary.
  • Orient, train, and supervise Direct Support Providers to ensure they are equipped to provide exceptional care.
  • Monitor staff schedules and ensure equitable coverage, while maintaining a log of call-offs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for house staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage household needs, including inventory of groceries and cleaning supplies, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assist clients with daily personal tasks, including bathing and addressing, as assigned.
  • Complete visit records in a timely manner to ensure quality assurance.
  • Report any changes in client condition or needs to the Director of Operations and/or Staff Nurse.
  • Perform household services essential to healthcare in the home, including meal preparation and planning.
  • Help plan and coordinate client appointments, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Assist clients in setting daily goals and outcomes, promoting social and community engagement.
  • Administer medication as necessary, while maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment in the home, reporting any safety concerns to management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (provided by the company).
  • DSP certification (provided by the company).
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Pass a background and drug test.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work days, evenings, overnights, and weekends based on the needs of the designated site.
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in a leadership role.
Lifting Requirements:
  • Ability to participate in physical activities.
  • Mobility to perform periodic bending, lifting, and standing during shifts.
  • Ability to assist clients in sitting up or down within range of motion (if applicable).
  • Capable of independently lifting up to 35 pounds.
