Position Overview:

We are actively seeking a skilled Permanent Senior Estimator (Multi-Family) to become part of our vibrant team.

Your role will involve delivering precise and competitive project estimates, overseeing project staffing needs, and ensuring cost efficiency across our multi-family and senior housing project portfolio.

This position emphasizes Section 8 HUD Housing, affordable housing, OFHA, Multi-Family, Apartments, and Senior Housing initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Senior Estimator, your main duties will encompass:

  • Creating comprehensive and precise project estimates aligned with specifications and timelines.
  • Overseeing project staffing requirements to guarantee optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects to grasp project needs.
  • Reviewing and modifying estimates as needed to maintain accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Interpreting project blueprints, technical drawings, and other documentation to prepare estimates.
  • Conducting risk assessments for potential projects, considering materials, labor, location, and other factors.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and advancements to ensure our estimating processes remain competitive.
  • Providing guidance on planning, coordination, and supervision of technical aspects of construction projects.
  • Assessing bids from contractors and subcontractors to ensure they align with project scope and budget.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Senior Estimator position will possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in estimation, particularly in Section 8 HUD Housing, affordable housing, OFHA, Multi-Family, Apartments, and Senior Housing projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in project staffing and cost estimation.
  • A solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant estimating software.
  • The capability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Estimating or a related field is a plus.
