Job Summary:

Opportunity Awaits, Apply Today - Client Agency Junior Fiscal Analyst (Fiscal Analyst 1)

The State of Oregon is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fiscal Analyst to join our team. As a Fiscal Analyst, you will provide financial guidance to multiple small and less complex Client Agencies, ensuring high levels of accountability for fiscal operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial guidance and support to Client Agencies, ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Seek guidance from SFS management and higher-level financial staff to ensure accurate and timely communication with agency directors and operational staff.
  • Conduct analysis, identify problems, and identify areas of improvement in fiscal operations.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public or Non-Profit Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related degree.
  • Three years' experience in management, policy or program analysis, or technical-level budgetary support activities.
  • Knowledge of governmental budgeting and accounting functions, or equivalent private sector experience.
  • Experience with SFMS and R*Stars or any other accounting software.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a variety of software applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Oregon Accounting Manual (OAM).

  • Proven ability to conduct analysis, identify problems, and identify areas of improvement.
  • Strong, effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate reports.
