Position Title: Patient Services Representative

Job Overview:

Join our team as a Patient Services Representative, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing the patient experience. This position serves as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring they receive the highest level of service and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and their families, gathering and verifying essential demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance information to facilitate seamless service delivery.
  • Authenticate and register patients, ensuring all necessary information is accurately entered into the patient registration systems.
  • Process signed physician orders and maintain an organized work queue to manage patient flow effectively.
  • Conduct insurance eligibility checks and financial education, assisting patients in understanding their financial responsibilities.
  • Collect patient payments, including co-payments and deposits, while ensuring compliance with financial policies.
  • Collaborate with financial counseling teams for cases requiring additional support.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient access processes.
  • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues across departments to ensure cohesive service delivery.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required. A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of patient access and financial counseling processes.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance practices.
  • Proficient in various computer systems related to patient registration and financial management.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
