Key Responsibilities of the CFO:

  • Preparation of monthly financial statements and reports for multiple entities
  • Development and oversight of the budget while monitoring all financial operations
  • Provision of financial insights on budgets to the executive leadership team
  • Timely preparation and submission of federal and state tax payments and reports
  • Coordination of annual financial statements for external CPA review for tax filings
  • Establishment and evaluation of financial policies and procedures to ensure accountability
  • Maintenance of robust internal controls to protect the organization's assets
  • Oversight of Revenue Cycle, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Account Reconciliations
  • Conducting financial analyses and generating ad hoc reports as required
  • Participation in strategic decisions as a member of the executive management team
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory standards
  • Monitoring ongoing legal matters involving the organization
  • Management of payroll records, including timecards, adjustments, deductions, and garnishments

Qualifications Required for the CFO Role:

  • 3-5+ years of experience as a CFO in a mid-sized organization
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; Master's degree or CPA designation is a plus
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar large ERP systems
  • Self-driven, entrepreneurial, excellent communication skills, and a hands-on leadership style
  • Experience managing a team of 10 or more personnel
  • Experience in a start-up environment or with IPO processes is advantageous
