This is a Full-Time position with a Day shift schedule.

Position Overview
The Quality Coordinator is a registered professional nurse with a master's degree, possessing advanced clinical knowledge and skills. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of safe, age-appropriate, and culturally competent patient care across various service lines, including:

The Quality Coordinator champions evidence-based practices and performance improvement initiatives, serving as a resource for the healthcare team and enhancing patient care outcomes across the organization. This role fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and exemplifies the professional image of nursing.

Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Leadership and Collaboration
    - Engage in shared leadership to foster strategies that promote nurse involvement in continuous quality improvement.
    - Cultivate positive interdisciplinary relationships to standardize treatment protocols and clinical interventions.
    - Advocate for the nursing profession as a vital member of the healthcare team.
  • Team Dynamics
    - Promote teamwork, integrity, and communication within the nursing staff.
    - Collaborate with leadership and medical staff to enhance practice standards and patient outcomes.
    - Mentor and support clinical staff to advance nursing excellence.
  • Quality Improvement
    - Lead initiatives to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
    - Monitor quality performance metrics and implement evidence-based practices to enhance care delivery.
    - Conduct performance improvement activities and develop clinical protocols.
  • Professional Development
    - Engage in continuous learning and support the professional growth of nursing staff.
    - Represent the organization positively within the community and mentor other clinicians.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure and Certification:
    - Registered Nurse (Single State) Required
    - RN - Multi-state Compact Required
    - Basic Life Support Certification Required
    - Clinical Nurse Leader Certification Required
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience in a relevant clinical setting.
  • Skills:
    - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    - Advanced clinical skills and the ability to lead change in nursing practice.
    - Knowledge of nursing theory and evidence-based practice.
