Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Representative to join our team at Southeastern Rheumatology Alliance in Atlanta, GA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth experience for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Patient Interactions: Greet patients and visitors with a courteous and professional demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Schedule Appointments: Accurately and efficiently schedule patient appointments using electronic scheduling systems, minimizing wait times and maximizing productivity.
  • Verify Patient Information: Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and medical history during registration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collect Payments: Collect co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances from patients in a timely manner, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Answer Inquiries: Respond to phone calls and inquiries from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies, providing clear and concise information.
  • Assist with Registration: Assist patients with completing registration forms and other necessary paperwork, ensuring a seamless registration process.
  • Coordinate Referrals: Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers as directed by physicians, ensuring timely and effective care.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all interactions, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Providers: Collaborate with healthcare providers and support staff to ensure patient satisfaction and continuity of care, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year or more in a healthcare environment, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Education: Associate degree or any combination of education and work experience in a customer service-related role.
