Patient Service Representative

The Patient Service Representative is the first point of contact for patients and visitors to our clinic. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide a positive experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and greet patients, clients, and visitors in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Determine the purpose of the visit and direct patients to the appropriate person or department
  • Maintain exceptional customer service at all times and resolve conflicts and issues promptly
  • Schedule appointments and update patient information in the EMR as needed
  • Conduct daily outreach to remind patients of upcoming appointments and proactive outreach as directed by clinic leadership
  • Perform administrative tasks and general office duties
  • Collect and process payments at the time of service
  • Answer phone calls and embed urgent/emergent protocols while maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Contact insurance companies and other associated companies as needed for patient care
  • Attend team meetings and participate in developing team priorities
  • Exercise problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when handling patient concerns
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a customer service setting, medical office preferred
  • Advanced phone skills and ability to work in a highly confidential environment
  • Intermediate computer knowledge and skills, including MS Office Suite and EMR
  • Ability to type a minimum of 45 WPM

Employee Health Requirements:
  • Documentation of Hep B vaccination or proof of immunity
  • Documentation of proof of a negative TB test in the last 90 days
  • CPR certification (BLS) pre-hire and ongoing
  • Annual influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations

Compensation: $18-$23/hr. & bonus eligible
