Food Service Worker

This role supports dining hall kitchen operations with a variety of responsibilities including serving food, maintaining facility cleanliness, aiding in meal preparation, and collaborating closely with cooks and kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Food Preparation and Service: Assist cooks and other kitchen personnel in tasks such as cleaning and paring vegetables, washing dishes, serving from a serving line, cleaning tables, and sweeping floors.
- Customer Service: Provide pleasant and courteous service to patrons, ensuring neatness and cleanliness in preparing, handling, and serving food.
- Equipment Operation: Care and use of food service equipment, including meat slicer, mixing machine, and steam cookers.
- Additional Duties: Perform related work as assigned by management.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of safe food handling practices in a team environment, knowledge of food preparation methods, and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to move loads up to 50 lbs., perform push/pull activity with products weighing up to 30 lbs., and perform duties with repetitive motion of wrists, arm, and shoulder.
- Environmental Factors: Ability to work in noisy, hot/cold environments with chemicals, cleaning equipment, dust, fumes, and odors.
