Food Service Worker I

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Worker I to join our team at the University of Georgia Dining Services. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting cooks and other kitchen personnel in tasks such as cleaning and paring vegetables, washing dishes, serving from a serving line, cleaning tables, and sweeping floors.

- Ensure neatness and cleanliness in preparing, handling, and serving food, while providing excellent customer service to patrons.
- Care and use of food service equipment, including meat slicer, mixing machine, and steam cookers.
- Perform related work as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of safe food handling practices in a team environment.
- Knowledge of food preparation methods.
