Food Service Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Worker to join our team at the University of Georgia Dining Services. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality dining experience for our students, faculty, and staff.
Responsibilities- Assist cooks and other kitchen personnel in tasks such as cleaning and preparing vegetables, washing dishes, and serving food.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to strict food safety and handling protocols.
- Operate food service equipment, including meat slicers, mixers, and steam cookers, with precision and care.
- Perform related work as assigned by management, including cleaning tables, sweeping floors, and restocking supplies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of safe food handling practices and food preparation methods essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive tasks.
