Food Service Worker II

This is a manual and semi-skilled position in the food service department. The successful candidate will be responsible for serving food, cleaning facilities, and performing related food service duties.
Key Responsibilities- Wash, cut, and prepare fruits and vegetables for salad bar and other eating events.
- Assist with frying and baking light foods such as tenders, fries, burgers, and other foods while also assisting with special diet requests.
- Assist with set up, monitoring, operation, breakdown, and clean-up of work area in kitchen.
- Assist with set up, monitoring, and breakdown of salad bar with minimal assistance.
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing of prep areas (i.e. sweep, mop, clean tables and chairs, empty trash, clean counters).
- Wash pots, pans, utensils, and other food prep items as used in the production area of the kitchen.
- Ability to read and follow chemical label instructions, check product expiration dates, and take temperature on thermometers.
- Ability to do simple math to increase or decrease simple recipe.
- Ability to work long hours while standing in extreme temperatures.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to drive as needed to perform job duties.
