Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for executing system commissioning tasks utilizing Johnson Controls' specialized configuration and commissioning tools. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving fundamental HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control issues, as well as responding to basic warranty inquiries.

Your Approach

  • Load software for system-level controllers
  • Conduct advanced commissioning and system diagnostics from controllers to end devices (e.g., sensors, actuators) and complete all necessary documentation
  • Keep management and relevant stakeholders updated on job progress and challenges
  • Calibrate systems using basic electronic testing equipment
  • Complete administrative duties including time sheets, expense reports, and site documentation
  • Document modifications and provide information for as-built records
  • Communicate effectively with contractors or customers upon arrival and before departure from the job site
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in required safety training, prioritizing the safety of yourself and subcontractors

Qualifications We Seek

Essential Requirements

  • An associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a related field, or 3-5 years of relevant industry experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems within the HVAC sector
  • Knowledge of HVAC control systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, and equipment installation and servicing techniques
  • Strong interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls professionally to clients and external contacts
  • Ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, along with leadership skills to guide Mechanics on non-complex Building Automation equipment
  • Proficiency in PC operations and the capability to program HVAC-related software
