Key Responsibilities

As an HVAC Systems Technician, you will:

  • Conduct system commissioning using specialized configuration and commissioning tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical, electrical, and control issues within HVAC systems.
  • Load software onto system-level controllers and perform advanced diagnostics from controllers to end devices, such as sensors and actuators.
  • Complete all necessary commissioning documentation and keep management informed of job progress and challenges.
  • Calibrate systems using basic electronic testing equipment.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including time sheets and expense reports.
  • Document modifications and provide information for as-built documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors or customers upon arrival and departure from the work site.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and participate in required safety training, prioritizing the safety of employees and subcontractors.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A 2-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a related field, or at least 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Knowledge of HVAC control systems, facilities management systems, and peripheral equipment installation techniques.
  • Leadership abilities to guide Mechanics working on non-complex Building Automation equipment.
  • Proficiency in PC operations and the capability to program HVAC-related software.
