Key Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, you will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and commissioning of systems, including thorough troubleshooting of various systems.

You will also:

  • Guide mechanical technicians in building automation tasks.
  • Accurately complete necessary project and service documentation.
  • Diagnose and rectify complex control system issues, requiring extensive knowledge of various electronic or digital control systems, and the ability to test and modify software in multiple programming languages.
  • Provide sketches of field modifications and discrepancies for engineering adjustments.
  • Report issues or changes to management promptly.
  • Collaborate with branch managers, service managers, project managers, or subcontractors to coordinate project activities in a professional manner.
  • Offer training to clients on the operation of electronic control systems.
  • Deliver manuals and documentation to clients for training purposes.
  • Mentor and train the mechanical workforce on building automation systems.
  • Support mechanical staff on non-complex, non-critical equipment.
  • Compile job documentation, including completion certificates, customer training forms, and punch lists.
  • Perform other duties related to the commissioning and servicing of building controls and facilities management systems as assigned.

Qualifications:

A vocational school four-year program or an associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a related field is required.

Additionally, you should possess:

  • Three years of industry experience or five years in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in HVAC.
  • Knowledge of HVAC control systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, and installation techniques.
  • Leadership skills to support mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical building automation equipment.
  • PC proficiency and the ability to program HVAC-related software.
