Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with management teams to target HR services and aid in achieving operational goals.
  • Provide direct support to staff with matters related to employment.
  • Implement HR strategies and programs in designated departments.
  • Function as an HR consultant to management teams.
  • Provide coaching and training to staff and supervisors.
  • Support management in matters related to staffing, recruitment, and performance management.
  • Assist with policy development and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with Middlebury policies and procedures, as well as state and federal employment laws.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • PHR/SPHR certification strongly recommended.
  • 5-8 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and HR management in higher education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
