Job Summary

University of Utah Health is seeking a skilled Inpatient Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care to individuals in need of inpatient services.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient status and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Implement evidence-based nursing interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health literacy and self-management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Experience working in an inpatient setting.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and healthcare information systems.
Work Environment

This position involves working in a fast-paced inpatient setting, with frequent exposure to patients with varying levels of acuity. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
