Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient team at University of Utah Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, utilizing your strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions, and develop patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient status and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Implement evidence-based nursing interventions to improve patient outcomes and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care and address patient concerns.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current on best practices and advancements in nursing care.
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence and teamwork, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Experience working in an inpatient setting, preferably in a critical care or medical-surgical unit.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies.
Work Environment

This position involves working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The ability to work effectively in a team setting and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines is essential. The successful candidate will be able to maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy while working in a busy inpatient setting.
