Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Inpatient Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of Utah Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and contribute to a culture of excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and optimal patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Experience working in an inpatient setting.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies.
