Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient team at the University of Utah Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to a culture of excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient responses.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, education, and research to advance nursing practice and patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, adhere to regulatory requirements, and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of hire.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing education, professional development, and evidence-based practice.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in inpatient nursing, particularly in medical-surgical or critical care settings.
  • Certification in a relevant specialty, such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) or Certified Nurse Educator (CNE).
  • Leadership experience, including charge nurse or preceptor roles.
