Job Summary

University of Utah Health is seeking a highly skilled Inpatient Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care to individuals in need of inpatient services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal health outcomes.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Experience working in an inpatient setting.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and healthcare software.
Working Conditions

This position involves working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions. The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively is essential. The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods of time.
