Job Summary

University of Utah Health is seeking a skilled Inpatient Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions, and develop patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to address physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Implement evidence-based nursing practices to promote patient safety and quality care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and wellness.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Utah or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Experience working in an inpatient setting.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies.
Working Conditions

This position involves intensive work that may exert up to 100 pounds and may consistently require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects, such as medical equipment, or patients while providing medical care.
