Client Support Specialist I

Position Overview: This role is dedicated to managing incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy, serving as a vital link between Alta Hospitals and various stakeholders, including members, healthcare providers, and billing entities. The representative is also expected to support fellow team members as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to customers over the phone regarding inquiries, updates, and modifications related to claims, eligibility, referrals, billing, and care coordination, ensuring timely and thorough research.
- Maintain a quality performance level with an accuracy rate of 90% across all service measures.
- Handle a minimum of 60 inbound calls daily, ensuring each interaction is documented meticulously.
- Verify compliance with HIPAA regulations to maintain account integrity.
- Follow up on outstanding issues to ensure resolution.
- Report recurring issues and trends to management for continuous improvement.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: At least two years of customer service experience in a call center environment is required, preferably within a healthcare context. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced setting. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and knowledge of healthcare operations is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, is essential.
