Position Scope:
The Supply Chain Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the logistical coordination across the organization’s facilities, which include both office environments and manufacturing plants. Key responsibilities encompass the management of transportation logistics, as well as shipping and receiving operations.

This role also involves the creation and maintenance of all pertinent documentation in compliance with legal standards and organizational policies.

In certain situations, the Supply Chain Operations Supervisor may be accountable for ensuring safety protocols within the organization’s facilities and assets.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead logistics processes while establishing continuous improvement strategies for freight management, vendor routing, and carrier oversight.

• Formulate, execute, and assess performance metrics related to transportation, shipping, and receiving.

• Create, track, and report on logistics key performance indicators on a weekly and monthly basis.

• Negotiate and manage contracts and service level agreements with third-party suppliers and service providers.

• Collaborate with purchasing teams during the request for proposal (RFP) and request for quote (RFQ) processes.

• Partner with inventory planning personnel to reduce shortages and enhance inventory management.

• Provide monthly updates regarding project statuses and progress reports on process improvement initiatives.

• Oversee courier and carrier implementations, establishing service level agreements to ensure promised service delivery.

• Conduct profit and loss management for the logistics function and oversee the logistics budget.

• Administer the warehousing system and regularly review performance expectations with the leadership team.

• Organize training and development programs for staff.

• Communicate the organization’s safety policies in alignment with applicable federal safety regulations and local laws.

• Manage imports and exports, collaborating with customs officials to ensure compliance.

• Oversee fleet management for company vehicles as necessary.


The incumbent is responsible for understanding and managing the Environmental Management System (EMS) as outlined in EMS policy CEVPL.00005.


The incumbent is also responsible for understanding and managing the Quality Management System (QMS) as detailed in 00001 – Corporate Quality Manual.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred.

• Minimum of five years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.

• Direct experience in operations, plant management, inventory control, and transportation management.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Experience managing third-party logistics providers.

• Strong project management capabilities are essential.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Good financial and business acumen.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills to engage with all organizational levels and its executive team.

• Strong quantitative and critical thinking abilities.
