Business Development Manager - Air & Ocean Freight

This role will provide comprehensive transportation solutions for customers and develop new domestic, international ocean, and airfreight business within a given territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan weekly sales calls to identify new business opportunities
  • Create a target sales list to prioritize customer engagement
  • Solicit new business opportunities and maintain current business relationships
  • Successfully market transportation services, including warehousing and distribution services
  • Increase revenues and improve profitability through strategic sales efforts
  • Assist with Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for customer instructions
  • Identify new business opportunities within a specified territory through cold calling and follow-up on all sales leads
  • Participate in pricing analysis to optimize sales strategies
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of international or global freight forwarding sales or industry-related experience
  • Strong experience in transportation industry/sales (Hunter)
