Position: Youth Sports Program Coordinator

REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Reports to the Executive Director


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and support a team of over 30 instructors across designated territories.
  • Manage instructor performance through regular assessments and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Director to uphold program standards.
  • Foster a positive and empowering culture within the team and organization.
  • Seek a proactive individual with a strong understanding of coaching, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a deep passion for our mission.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Evaluate instructor performance through ongoing assessments and training.
  • Work with the recruiting team to determine staffing needs.
  • Conduct interviews and hire qualified instructors.
  • Build strong relationships with part-time instructors and identify potential leaders.
  • Create and manage schedules for instructors across various territories.
  • Lead regular meetings to discuss new initiatives and trends.
  • Develop initiatives that reinforce our core values and enhance the instructor experience.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to establish key performance indicators that improve program quality.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the Director of Coaching to assess program needs.
  • Coaching experience is not mandatory; however, a passion for positively impacting children's lives is essential.
  • Serve as the representative of Soccer Shots, executing engaging sessions that reflect our values.
  • Conduct up to 15-18 coaching sessions weekly, utilizing these opportunities for instructor training.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • 1-3 years of experience in event planning or customer service.
  • Experience supervising part-time staff.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in G-Suite and MS Office.
  • Warm, motivated, and approachable demeanor.

CLASSIFICATION:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position.


WORKING HOURS:
This role requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, with weekend and evening availability necessary due to program schedules. The position operates in a hybrid model, combining fieldwork and remote responsibilities.


PERFORMANCE EVALUATION:
Initial performance reviews will be conducted after a designated period.
