Central to our initiatives are staff training methodologies that empower our young professionals to forge profoundly impactful relationships with the youth in their care, whom we refer to as Our Future Leaders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administrative Oversight:
- Manage and oversee the program, ensuring adherence to Roads to Success standards.
- Assist in the recruitment process and provide continuous support, supervision, and evaluation of staff in accordance with organizational guidelines.
- Guarantee timely delivery of all program components and ensure program spaces are adequately prepared for activities.
- Oversee outreach, recruitment, application, enrollment, and retention processes in line with organizational regulations.
- Equip program participants with essential resources to achieve their objectives, aligned with organizational standards.
- Maintain consistent communication with educational officials and staff throughout the program duration.
- Prepare and submit all necessary program documentation to the organization punctually, adhering to reporting standards.
- Youth Development:
- Apply positive youth development principles to encourage social, emotional, and cognitive growth, fostering self-esteem and accountability among participants.
- Establish positive connections with participants and serve as a constructive role model.
- Program Advancement:
- Design and coordinate program activities to meet contractual objectives and performance benchmarks, in alignment with organizational standards.
- Ensure the program site complies with all safety and licensing regulations.
- Family Involvement:
- Engage with parents and facilitate the planning and execution of staff and program orientation sessions.
- Staff Management and Program Oversight:
- Review and approve staff timesheets bi-weekly, processing them according to organizational protocols.
- Maintain personnel and program records for inspection purposes, adhering to organizational guidelines.
- Ensure adequate staff coverage for both scheduled and unscheduled absences.
- Communicate regularly with staff to address concerns and ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Verify that all staff members are eligible to work at respective sites.
- Program Protocols and Safety:
- Adhere to all organizational protocols regarding safety, supervision, and incident reporting to guarantee participant safety and security.
- Professional Growth:
- Conduct orientations for participants and parents.
- Participate in required organizational training sessions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A degree in Education or a related field, or a NYS School Age Childcare Credential.
- A minimum of two years of experience in supervision and program development.
- At least three years of experience in managing youth programs.
- A minimum of four years of direct experience in an educational or recreational environment.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and Google Docs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication and writing abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with others.
- A commitment to exceeding program requirements for the safety and benefit of participants.
