Our client, a reputable and long-standing contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), has been a key player in the industry for over three decades, employing more than 5,000 professionals worldwide. Their primary focus is on the development and manufacturing of small molecule finished drug products. They have established a robust global footprint in the pharmaceutical sector, setting themselves apart by offering integrated services that facilitate product development and manufacturing within a single entity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue potential partnerships to acquire new accounts while nurturing current business relationships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Oversee the contract lifecycle from drafting to negotiation and execution.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with clients.
  • Understand client objectives, pipeline, and forecasts utilizing available tools.
  • Participate in industry conventions and events to cultivate relationships and identify business opportunities.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through regular engagement and feedback solicitation.
  • Address client concerns and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Review, draft, negotiate, and finalize agreements related to CDMO services, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of contract templates and associated risks.
  • Stay informed about market trends and developments.
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with deliverable capabilities.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets while managing business development activities within the allocated budget.
  • Travel to meet with clients and attend trade shows.
  • Engage in industry events, business seminars, and client entertainment.
  • Maintain an understanding of the healthcare landscape, market dynamics, trends, competitors, and regulatory requirements.
  • Address both business and technical client needs by preparing contracts and proposals for new and existing opportunities.
  • Present sales opportunities and key activities to the business development team and senior management on a monthly basis.
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust metrics to assess the success of CDMO initiatives.
  • Report sales and forecasts using business planning tools.
  • Present results and areas of concern to senior leaders, along with potential solutions and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a scientific discipline with 5-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing relationships within the pharmaceutical industry, particularly with brand companies, including successful negotiation and securing of contracts related to contract manufacturing and development.
