Job Summary

Nationwide is seeking an experienced Investment Professional to join its Structured Products team. As a key contributor, you will support research, trading, and portfolio management activities related to investment grade Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS), and Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLO).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Portfolio Manager to identify executable and suitable market opportunities.
  • Support transaction analysis, including participants, collateral, borrower, structure, deal documents, and relative value scenario analysis.
  • Assist in portfolio surveillance, including identification of emerging investment risks and development of risk mitigation actions.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects, reporting, and analysis as requested.
  • Collaborate with other departments regarding relative value, sector analysis, asset class dynamics, and portfolio.
  • Drive the creation of streamlined reporting and portfolio reports as needed.
  • Lead data management and maintenance.
Requirements:
  • 6-10 years of investment experience.
  • Solid understanding of fixed income and financial concepts.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High energy, positive attitude, collaborative, and team-oriented.
  • Composed and decisive under pressure or when challenged.
  • Driven, self-motivated, and intellectually inquisitive.
  • Creative, organized, responsive, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to build constructive and effective relationships.
  • Demonstrates leadership in the investment decision-making process.
