The Office of Investments is seeking a full-time Investment Associate to assist in generating robust risk-adjusted returns for the Long-Term Investment Pool/Endowment. As part of a cohesive and collaborative team, the Investment Associate will collaborate with the Senior Director of Investments to oversee illiquid investment allocations. This includes developing and proposing portfolio construction strategies, sourcing new investment opportunities (partnership investments and co-investments), conducting analysis, performing due diligence, negotiating, and recommending investments. The role also involves monitoring investment activities and participating in advisory committees.

The Investment Associate will lead and engage in discussions with a diverse group of external managers globally and will assist in evaluating and monitoring them through comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis. This position is integral to the investment process, providing broad exposure to investment strategy, portfolio construction, and financial markets.

The Investment Associate will mentor Investment Analysts and aid in preparing materials for presentations to the Board of Trustees and other University-affiliated groups. In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, Investment Associates are eligible for a long-term incentive pool, rewarding team members for exceptional investment performance and contributions to the team.

This is an in-person role based at the Ohio State University's main campus. The team operates in-office Monday through Thursday, with flexibility for remote work on Fridays.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in management, finance, business, or a related field. A minimum of six (6) years of investment management experience, particularly in private markets investing (LP role, co-investment, principal investor, investment banking, legal, or other relevant disciplines). Strong computing and quantitative skills are essential. Extensive knowledge of financial and investment theory and practice, including quantitative methods, is required. Excellent writing and communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to deliver detailed presentations to both internal and external investment entities. The candidate must thrive in a team environment while demonstrating leadership and initiative. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in analytics and modeling, is required. Experience with relational databases and manager track records is preferred. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential. The candidate should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to ethical behavior and professionalism. Willingness to travel globally is required. Successful completion of a background check is mandatory.

Desired Qualifications:

MBA, CFA, or CAIA designation is preferred. Eight to twelve years of relevant experience is advantageous.
