The compensation for this role ranges from $120,000 to $125,000, depending on experience.


Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Care Coordination Director in managing resident care. This position involves overseeing the medication management program and ensuring the medication room operates efficiently, while also assisting the Wellness Director and Resident Service team.

Resident Care Support

  • Develop and maintain a medication management system compliant with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Administer medications in accordance with state-specific guidelines when necessary.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities as required.
  • Collaborate with the Memory Care Director to uphold a medication management system that meets regulatory standards.
  • Provide backup support by fulfilling the roles of Resident Services Assistant or Resident Medication Assistant as needed.
  • Supervise, mentor, and schedule nursing staff in alignment with community policies and standards.
  • Deliver Wellness Coaching to residents following completion of the Mayo Clinic Wellness Coach Training.

Care Coordination Support

  • Handle communications from physicians, pharmacies, and families, taking appropriate actions.
  • Manage resident documentation, including charts and appointment schedules.
  • Track due dates for resident assessments and notify the Care Coordination Director as necessary.
  • Coordinate transportation for residents to external healthcare appointments.

Community Support

  • Assist the Wellness Director in recruiting new nursing staff.
  • Provide training and orientation for nursing and medication assistant staff, along with ongoing education for current employees.
  • Be responsible for the training, development, and evaluation of nursing and medication assistant personnel.
  • Encourage and support staff verbally.
  • Exhibit flexibility and a positive attitude in response to changes.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet the evolving needs of residents in a timely manner.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through diligent service.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance quality and monitor for safety issues, reporting any concerns to the Wellness Director and Care Coordination Director.
  • Serve as a role model for staff by maintaining punctuality and adhering to dress code standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid RN license.
  • Basic First Aid and CPR certification as required by state regulations.
  • Completion of Atria's Medication Management training and all specified training programs is mandatory.
  • Must fulfill all state-required training to maintain licensure or certification.
  • Management experience or training is preferred.
  • Effective communication skills in English, with the ability to read, comprehend, and write simple correspondence.
  • Proficient in basic calculations.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Driving responsibilities may be required (using company or personal vehicle).
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and comply with Atria's motor vehicle policy.
