Position Overview:
We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Supervisor - Medicine (12 East). In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will provide clinical leadership and management for a designated patient care unit, aligning with the institution's philosophy and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Nurse Manager and educational staff to identify and address the learning needs of both professional and ancillary team members.
2. Proactively manage potential risk issues in accordance with institutional policies, ensuring timely reporting to the Nurse Manager and leadership.
3. Facilitate a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and teamwork among all healthcare professionals.
4. Participate in the recruitment and selection process for unit staff.
5. Ensure effective communication regarding patient care and unit matters across shifts.
6. Support the Nurse Manager in optimizing staffing and scheduling for resource availability.
7. Lead the coordination of unit activities, serving as a role model during designated shifts.
8. Participate in the development and implementation of patient care standards relevant to the practice area.
9. Provide direct patient care as necessary to support unit operations.
10. Engage in ongoing patient and family education to facilitate discharge planning.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a Current Registered Professional Nurse license in New York and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. A minimum of two years of clinical experience in the relevant patient population is required, along with demonstrated leadership potential.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in a relevant practice area is advantageous. Candidates should exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills, alongside creative problem-solving abilities.
