Compensation

The salary for this role ranges from $120,000 to $125,000, commensurate with experience.


Key Responsibilities

The Nursing Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the Care Coordination Director in the management of resident care. This position is responsible for overseeing the medication management system and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations while assisting the Wellness Director and Resident Service team.

Resident Care Support

  • Develop and maintain a medication administration system that complies with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
  • Administer medications as permitted by state regulations when necessary.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities as required.
  • Collaborate with the Memory Care Director to ensure adherence to medication management standards.
  • Provide backup support by fulfilling the roles of Resident Services Assistant or Resident Medication Assistant as needed.
  • Supervise, train, and schedule nursing staff in accordance with community policies and standards.
  • Offer Wellness Coaching to residents as part of their personalized service plans, following completion of the Mayo Clinic Wellness Coach Training.

Care Coordination Support

  • Handle communications from physicians, pharmacies, and families, taking appropriate actions.
  • Manage resident documentation, including charts and appointment schedules.
  • Keep track of assessment due dates and notify the Care Coordination Director as necessary.
  • Coordinate transportation for residents to external healthcare appointments.

Community Support

  • Assist the Wellness Director in the recruitment of new nursing staff.
  • Provide orientation and ongoing training for nursing and medication assistant staff.
  • Evaluate and develop nursing and medication assistant personnel.
  • Encourage and support staff verbally to foster a positive work environment.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and a positive attitude in response to changes.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet the evolving needs of residents effectively.
  • Strive for customer satisfaction by addressing needs promptly.
  • Identify opportunities for quality improvement and report any safety concerns to the Wellness Director and Care Coordination Director.
  • Exemplify professionalism by adhering to dress code and maintaining punctuality.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current RN licensure is required.
  • Basic First Aid and CPR certification as mandated by state regulations.
  • Completion of Atria's Medication Management training and other specified training programs is necessary.
  • Must fulfill all state-mandated training requirements for licensure.
  • Management experience or training is preferred.
  • Proficient communication skills in English, including reading, writing, and presenting information.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as required by the position.
  • Driving responsibilities may be part of the role; a valid driver's license is required.
  • Compliance with Atria's motor vehicle policy standards is mandatory.
