Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound exams and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients and select technical factors and equipment to obtain optimal quality scans.
  • Operate portable ultrasound equipment to perform procedures as requested throughout the hospital.
  • Assist physicians with recommendations for obtaining optimal studies by suggesting technical factors for procedures.
  • Deliver patient care and maintain department standards of continued quality improvement.
  • Prepare ultrasound rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Utilize appropriate phone etiquette and provide a private environment for patients.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow hospital policies.
  • Document patient records and statistics to ensure adequate supplies and proper patient records.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to ensure optimal outcomes for each procedure performed.
  • Comply with established safety standards to ensure patient and staff well-being.
Requirements
  • ARDMS Registry eligible.
  • Successful completion of ARDMS Registry within the first year of employment.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
