POSITION OVERVIEW
The Environmental Sustainability Specialist will be instrumental in promoting our dedication to ecological responsibility and social influence.

Key responsibilities encompass performing comprehensive sustainability evaluations, interpreting data to pinpoint enhancement opportunities, and collaborating with diverse teams to adopt sustainable methodologies.

You will aid in the formulation and execution of sustainability programs, conducting investigations, supporting ESG assessments, monitoring advancements, and compiling reports to convey our sustainability achievements.

This role necessitates keeping up with industry developments and exemplary practices, contributing to the formulation of sustainability strategies, and engaging with stakeholders to nurture a culture of environmental awareness.

This position is based at our headquarters.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the organization and execution of Materiality assessments.
Oversee software tools or templates utilized for sustainability data gathering and reporting.

Collaborate with local and global teams across various time zones to ensure timely data collection, sending reminders as necessary.

Research and remain informed on sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices.
Support the development of project proposals and presentations.
Facilitate the planning, coordination, and implementation of sustainability initiatives.
Prepare necessary documentation for contracts.
Ensure that project documentation, including timelines, budgets, and reports, is maintained and organized.

Create and manage Purchase Orders, coordinate RFPs, track payment milestones, and liaise with Finance to ensure accurate invoicing.

Assist in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability reporting obligations.
Help compile reports for governmental bodies or third-party sustainability certifications.
Conduct research on sustainability-related subjects and provide insights and recommendations to aid decision-making.
Prepare sustainability reports and disclosures for internal and external stakeholders, including investors and regulatory agencies.
Assist in organizing training sessions and workshops.
Provide administrative support to project teams, including scheduling meetings, managing project documents, and assisting with presentations.

Help develop communication materials, such as newsletters, blogs, or social media content, to promote sustainability initiatives both internally and externally.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and procurement, to integrate sustainability principles into various facets of the organization. Occasional travel may be required.
Adhere to the organization's environmental, health & safety, and security protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

Familiarity with GRI, SASB, United Nations SDGs, Carbon Footprint calculations, and relevant standards including ISO 14044, ISO 14064, ISO 14067, GHG Protocol, SBTi, TCFD, etc.

Experience in environmental management systems would be advantageous.
Possess strong data analysis capabilities.
Exhibit critical thinking and effective problem-solving skills.
Ability to articulate complex analyses and ideas clearly, both in writing and verbally.
Professional demeanor with skills in engaging both clients and company leadership.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Must excel in both individual and team environments within a highly matrixed organization.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, natural sciences, environmental engineering, or related fields.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional service environment, focusing on sustainability reporting and carbon management strategies.
