As an Engineer, you will deliver engineering and design assistance within our established environmental services sector, which emphasizes assessment, remediation design, and compliance. Potential projects may involve creating solutions for stormwater management, soil handling, dewatering, compliance, permitting, construction, operations, and environmental monitoring. Remote work options are available within Florida.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize extensive and varied knowledge of engineering and practices in environmental services and related domains.
  • As an Environmental Engineer at SCS, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all projects are designed and executed to meet our clients' objectives, directly influencing our success.
  • Guarantee that all projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and budget.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff to enhance their expertise and career trajectories.
  • Develop and maintain thorough project documentation and create a detailed project plan to monitor progress.
  • Manage alterations in project scope, timelines, and costs.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit submissions.
  • Make independent decisions regarding engineering or scientific challenges and methodologies, plan and coordinate work, and represent the company at meetings and conferences.
  • Conduct office-based tasks, including GIS, mathematical computations, and report generation.
  • Engage in business development activities, including proposal writing, client meetings, and participation in industry-related conferences and trade shows.
  • Receive technical guidance on complex issues and obtain supervisory approval for proposed plans or projects.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or a related engineering discipline is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 8 years of pertinent environmental experience is required, including expertise in remediation design, Florida regulations, and standard operating procedures.
  • P.E. registration or the ability to secure it within six months is essential.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $125,000, depending on experience and location. This figure does not include bonuses or our Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
