The Association Manager position at MEDCHI, THE MARYLAND STATE MEDICAL SOC Careers, involves overseeing the daily operations of medical specialty societies managed by the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Meeting and event planning to facilitate effective collaboration among medical specialty societies
  • Maintaining strong relationships with these societies to ensure their needs are met
  • Providing administrative support to manage daily operations, including bookkeeping, budgeting, and fiscal responsibility
  • Communicating with Board and Committee Members to ensure seamless coordination
  • Coordinating with team members to achieve common goals and manage timelines and deadlines
  • Attending meetings and taking minutes to ensure accurate documentation
  • Performing various administrative duties, including answering phone calls, copying, data entry, mail, and coordinating meetings

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A BA or BS degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a healthcare organization or non-profit professional association
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and relationships
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to produce professional-level written materials
  • Experience working with association management systems to streamline operations
  • Efficiency with Microsoft Office applications to enhance productivity
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to attend meetings
