Job Title: Associate Director Finance

Johns Hopkins University is seeking an experienced Associate Director Finance to join our team in the School of Medicine. This is a key leadership role that will play a critical part in shaping the financial strategy and direction of our department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making and budgeting.
  • Supervise and manage a team of financial analysts and managers to ensure effective financial management and planning.
  • Collaborate with departmental leadership and other stakeholders to identify and address financial challenges and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of progressive management experience in higher education finance or administrative roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated competency in supervising and developing support staff and professional staff toward creating and sustaining an effective and productive workforce.
