Job Summary

The Kids and Family Program Coordinator will be responsible for creating, setting up, facilitating, and closing down children's day camps, family programming, and youth programs at Tributary. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and facilitate engaging plans for programming for children and their families on and off property in all seasons
  • Manage participants' physical and emotional safety/risk; respond to emergencies as they arise according to Tributary's policies and support structures
  • Form and manage a positive kids camp culture that is safe, curious, and fun
  • Support the Recreation Department's daily and seasonal functions, including maintaining and renting gear and supplies and using a computer to complete daily essential functions
  • Establish and maintain multiple channels of communication for programming, execution, relationship building, follow-up, and debrief
  • Safely drive large passenger vehicles or vehicles with trailers
  • Drive a vehicle to shuttle members to and from the river or Grand Targhee Resort
  • Maintain and care for program or department supplies and materials
  • Look for opportunities to work with new community partners and programs
  • Adhere to all federal, regional, and local laws and guidelines
Requirements
  • Experience planning and engaging groups of children in hands-on educational programming
  • Prior experience in a customer-centric, customer-facing position
  • Prior experience in or knowledge of the area or enthusiasm for learning
  • Successful applicants must pass a criminal history background check and driving record review prior to the start date
  • Valid Driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Wilderness First Responder
  • Previous teaching, or similar type of experience
