Job Title: Enteral Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Enteral Coordinator to join our team at Emerging Health. As an Enteral Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with enteral nutrition needs by coordinating monthly supply and formula deliveries.

Job Summary:

The Enteral Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Responding to incoming calls from patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers regarding patient enteral supply needs.
  • Collaborating with clinical liaisons and the intake team to coordinate care for prospective enteral patients.
  • Confirming current insurance plans with patients during monthly resupply calls and communicating any changes to the intake team.
  • Coordinating scheduling and delivery of supplies.
  • Performing monthly monitoring of enteral nutrition and reporting any problems or non-compliance to the appropriate staff member.
  • Ensuring accurate tracking of nutrition therapy equipment and scheduling enteral pump swaps for annual maintenance as required and as needed.
  • Contacting patients at completion of therapy to arrange for equipment pick up.
  • Assisting Registered Dietitians in maintaining current enteral orders, tracking expiration dates, and contacting physicians for new or updated orders as appropriate.
  • Observing legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of patient information.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in healthcare, home care, or home infusion is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology is preferred.
  • Experience in enteral nutrition is preferred.
  • Basic competency with Microsoft Office software.
