Job Title: Line Mechanic

Eversource Energy is the largest energy delivery company in New England, serving 4.4 million customers in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. We are seeking a skilled Line Mechanic to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Line Mechanic will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical power lines and auxiliary equipment. This includes working aloft on electric utility poles or on ground and pad-mounted structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground electrical power lines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Work aloft on electric utility poles or on ground and pad-mounted structures.
  • Direct the work of others when assigned.
  • Hold and possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Rubber gloving of high voltage distribution systems up to 23KV is a requirement.
Requirements:
  • At least one year of experience in the field.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Ability to climb poles skillfully with Lineman's climbers.
  • Ability to direct the work of others when assigned.

Work Schedule:

4-10s (M – Thurs) schedule, with the actual reporting location for this job being one of our Central Projects show up locations - most likely the one on Peck Lane in Cheshire.

Responding to emergency situations to meet customers' needs is part of every employee's role. If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment. This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours, and location.
