Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production line by conducting regular inspections, performing preventative maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting and repairing mechanical faults.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and rectify potential issues before they escalate.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of our machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults swiftly and effectively, minimizing downtime and maintaining productivity.
  • Liaise with other departments to determine machinery usage schedules and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Provide expert advice on machinery upgrades, replacements, and new installations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on best practices for machinery maintenance and safe use.
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements in machinery and maintenance techniques.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues.
  • Extensive knowledge of various types of manufacturing machinery and equipment.
  • Proficiency in using tools and equipment required for maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members.
  • A commitment to adhering to safety standards and regulations.
  • A high degree of physical fitness and stamina, as this role involves manual work and potentially lifting heavy items.
  • A relevant certification or qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
