Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project and Key Accounts Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will provide professional project management, consulting, and in-field project support services to architectural, construction, and owner/end-user clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project management and execution of in-field and job-site professional services, including project "punch-out", construction project management, site surveys, opening inspections, and asset tagging.
  • Coordination and management of field technicians, including subcontractors.
  • Onboarding and ongoing Openings Studio software and services training and support for technicians, internal sales teams, and subcontractors.
  • Onboarding and ongoing Openings Studio software training and support for external Openings Studio and SimpleK software users.
  • Contract review, negotiation, and administration.
  • Account management, invoicing, and reconciliation.
  • Responsible for executing the Openings Studio/Professional Services sales and marketing strategy, both internally within ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions organization and externally with service and software User Clients with a focus on key accounts.
  • Provide professional and knowledgeable consulting regarding service offerings and Openings Studio software across the entire building construction and operational life cycle.
  • Support an organizational-wide, standardized process for integrated specification and project data management utilizing the Openings Studio software platform.
  • Conduct targeted consulting and project support activities, including promotion and implementation support of Openings Studio software platform and related consulting and field services to architectural, engineering, and construction firms during the planning, design, and construction process.
  • Collaborate with internal ASSA ABLOY sales teams and external channel partners during estimating, bidding, scheduling, installation, and project management. Support customers utilizing software applications integrated with Openings Studio.
  • Promotion and implementation of new and recurring professional services and Openings Studio software platform use for owners and end-users for new construction projects and aftermarket facility management needs.
  • Identify and track potential clients and projects for consulting and professional services opportunities.
  • Routinely interact and communicate with regional ASSA ABLOY Door Security Sales territories concerning joint initiatives, project tracking, sales presentations, training, and related marketplace strategies.
  • Provide support and feedback to the Openings Studio Software Development team regarding the performance, testing, maintenance, and future enhancements to the software platform.

Requirements:

  • Professional selling and demand generation skills, including proven presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal). Self-starter, active listener, with strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and review CSI MasterFormat Division 08 architectural specifications and construction documents, including door schedules, hardware sets, floor plans, elevations, submittals, and shop drawings.
  • Understanding of fire, life safety, accessibility, and model building codes in relation to door and hardware specifications.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and follow-up habits. Ability to meet multiple project deadlines and exercise effective time management with on-time activity reporting. Goal-oriented and results-driven.
  • Ability to work and perform responsibilities in the field at construction sites and end-user facilities.
  • Ability to travel upon request. % travel ability required.
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Accredited college or university bachelor's degree is preferred. Preference for degree in industry-related program (Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Construction Science and Management, or similar. High School diploma/GED required.
  • Construction project management experience preferred.
  • Architectural and construction industry-related experience, including door and hardware applications and specifications and software training and support, is a plus.
  • High level of proficiency with computer software applications, including major Microsoft "Office Suite" programs. Above-average working knowledge of Autodesk Revit Architecture software preferred. Familiarity of construction management software applications is a plus.
