Outside Parts Sales Representative

This position will be based out of our Heyburn, ID store, where you will be responsible for soliciting parts sales from new and established customers in sales territories established by management.
Key Responsibilities- Solicit sales of trucks parts marketed by the Company, to customers located within assigned territories, maintaining market penetration as required by Outside District Parts Manager and Branch Parts Manager.
- Complete all necessary paperwork for submission of parts orders and/or purchases, assisting the purchasing clerk with necessary documentation for special orders.
- Assist customers with any problems that may arise in connection with the sale of the parts, including returns and warranties.
- Maintain courteous and continuing relations with the customer base, working knowledge of customers' base industries and equipment needs.
- Promote the sale of Kenworth trucks and service, facilitating communications between customers and other departments.
- Maintain a superior level of knowledge and expertise in the trucking industry in general and Kenworth Trucks in particular, attending training courses and seminars as required by Parts Manager.
- Assist the Parts Manager with year-end inventory and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
This position involves both sedentary and other work, requiring extensive telephone and correspondence work on a daily basis. The employee will also stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees, and customers. Lifting of at least 50 lbs. without assistance on a daily basis will be required, and the employee will travel by car extensively within and outside the State on a daily basis.
Requirements- Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information.
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- 3 years sales experience in truck parts preferred.
- Valid Driver's License in good standing.
- Ability to use computer systems, ten-key calculator, microfiche, and read vendor catalogs.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.
