Applications Development Engineer III

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Applications Development Engineer III. In this role, you will have the opportunity to create effective solutions for customers to make important process decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Initiate and drive new applications to automate dual beam microscope functionality for semiconductor customers.
- Automate applications using tools such as iFast, Python, and Machine Learning.
- Communicate customer needs to product development groups.
- Act as a customer interface for specific instrument/applications issues, understand customer workflow needs, and assist them in applications development.
- Provide customer support and applications training after instrument installation.
- Education: A degree in technical engineering or sciences at an advanced level is preferred, but equivalent experience of at least 2-4 years is also considered.
- Experience: Demonstrated ability in a research or development environment, with recent experience in small and/or wafer DB technology. Proven track record in a semiconductor processing or equipment environment. Hands-on experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment such as DualBeam, FIB, SEM, or similar.
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, for a diverse audience are crucial to success in this role. Excellent customer interfacing skills. Proven ability to work well with multi-functional and cross-cultural teams. Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 25%.
