About the Role

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a skilled Engineering Technician II to support our photolithography equipment customers in the Hillsboro/Aloha area. As a key member of our team, you will be trained to support Canon's lithography equipment (steppers and scanners) and play a critical role in enabling our customers to utilize cutting-edge technology in their semiconductor manufacturing process.

Your Impact
  • Install, repair, calibrate, and maintain semiconductor process equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and inspect equipment to prevent and minimize malfunctions, and escalate advanced repairs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly preventive maintenance on Canon equipment in customer fabs.
  • Provide training and assistance to technicians and may provide basic instruction to customers.
  • Participate in ongoing technical training to expand your technical expertise and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in electromechanical engineering and experience working with semiconductor process equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lithography equipment and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience required, plus 2-3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Prefer 1-2 years of related work experience, including field service engineer or technician positions in a semiconductor equipment company or technical positions in the engineering field.
  • May require up to 75% travel for training in the first 6 months, after which travel may be up to 25%.
  • Requires experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Position may require travel to other offices/customer sites within the US and occasional overseas travel.
  • Requires ability to work flexible shifts, compressed work-weeks, and lift up to 30 pounds individually.
  • Substantial amount of standing, walking, typing, grasping, talking, and hearing required.
  • Occasional kneeling, crouching, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs or ladders.
  • Working primarily in a cleanroom environment (wearing full clean room suit, facemask, gloves, safety glasses).
  • May be exposed to chemicals, ultraviolet light, and lasers, and work in highly time-sensitive situations requiring quick resolution.
