Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Foreman with a MI JE License to lead our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site, ensuring the safety of workers and maintaining a high level of efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Management: Oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that all work is being carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise all construction workers, providing guidance and support to ensure that tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Task Coordination: Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary due to weather, supply delivery, and personnel.
  • Maintenance and Inspection: Ensure that all machinery and equipment are inspected regularly and maintained to a high standard.
  • Compliance and Budgeting: Monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations, as well as assist in the management of construction budgets and project resources.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Conduct regular meetings with the project team and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, troubleshoot any issues that may arise, and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Collaboration and Instruction: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists, instruct and supervise construction personnel and activities onsite, and resolve problems when they arise.
Requirements
  • A valid MI JE License is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in a foreman role.
  • Proficient in Construction Management, Journeyman, Electrical, Industrial Electrical, Commercial Electrical, and Low Voltage construction projects.
  • Proven experience as a construction foreman with an in-depth understanding of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction operations and equipment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Strong commitment to safety policies and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure.
