Position Summary

The Utility Support Specialist is tasked with maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen and related areas, adhering to the highest standards set by Parkhurst Dining.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure all kitchen floors, coolers, and service areas are consistently swept and mopped.
  2. Thoroughly clean all kitchen equipment, coolers, and service areas.
  3. Provide assistance in the dish room during peak times.
  4. Regularly clean kitchen countertops and polish stainless steel surfaces at least three times weekly.
  5. Empty and dispose of all trash receptacles.
  6. Wipe down dining tables to maintain cleanliness.
  7. Adhere to the cleaning schedule established by management, employing a 'clean as you go' approach.
  8. Assist with catering deliveries and pickups as needed.
  9. Maintain open communication with management regarding supply needs.
  10. Comply with the uniform dress code and uphold personal hygiene standards.
  11. Embrace and follow all Parkhurst Hospitality Gold Standards, including the Smile Plus hospitality principles.
  12. Support fellow team members whenever possible.
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must be capable of fulfilling each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this position include standing and/or walking for the entirety of the shift, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs and frequent lifting of up to 30 lbs.
